JOIN US FOR A SPECIAL EVENT OF CANDLELIT YIN YOGA, MEDITATION & IMBOLC CELEBRATION

Imbolc is a celebration of the end of the harsh winter as the land thaws, seeds are planted, cows and goats produce milk as we welcome the return of the fruits of spring. More widely celebrated as St. Brigid’s day whom was one of the most important goddesses of pre-Christian Ireland. Imbolc translates to ‘in the belly,’ and is widely viewed as a time of cleaning, sowing, and blessings from St. Brigid.

We are excited to celebrate this special event with you, to honour our native Celtic traditions with the Wheel of the Year and explore the ancient ways of finding new meaning & connection in these extraordinary times.

WHAT WILL WE DO?

At the beginning, we’ll start with some gentle & restorative yoga with meditation supported by bolsters, blankets and eye masks. Then we’ll perform some Imbolc activities, such as candle work and making an Imbolc charm to take home with you. We’ll end the class in some light yoga work, following by cakes & a small serving of red wine (non-alcoholic available).

As St Brigid was known for blessings & healing, if there is an item that you’d like blessed feel free to bring it to the workshop.

WHAT SHOULD I BRING?

We’ll provide bolsters, eye masks, and a beautifully cosy room lit with candles and some festive bites after class.

Since this workshop is a combination of yoga, meditation, and ritual work you’ll need to bring a few things:

  • Yoga mat

  • Blankets (small, heavy, wool preferred) and a small thick pillow if possible.

  • 3 small pebbles from around your home, the size of a penny or small coin.

  • Pencil or Pen

  • Small cleaning cloth and/or rosary beads or anything else you wish to be blessed by St. Brigid.

WHAT IS THE COST?

€29 for 2 hrs of yoga, meditation, and festive activities. Spaces are limited & booking early is advised; our Ancient Ways events often sell out several days before!
