Derrick Harshberger

Our registered psychologist and co-founder, Derrick’s foundation is in academics where he has both studied and taught in cognitive sciences at UC Berkeley and abroad. He is also trained in somatic movement & qi gong, and has since worked at developing ways to merge ancient disciplines with modern scientific understanding. His style of teaching is described as hard yet soft and aims to teach harmony through counterweight and ease.

Zoë Davis

Zoë is a registered Dietician of over 10 years and has a drive for teaching mindful eating and healthy relationships to food. She completed her Kriya yoga teacher training at Sattva Yoga Academy in the foothills of the Himalayas. Kriya yoga is a form of yoga that also includes mudras, chanting, and pranayama. Zoë’s classes are exhilarating, and you’ll find yourself practicing the breathing techniques she teaches outside of classes!

Elizabeth ‘Liz’ Potts

Known at the studio as Liz, she is not only a yoga teacher but also a highly trained chef with a M.A. in Gastronomy. If you’ve come to our workshops, you’ve probably enjoyed some of her incredible bites! She also has a passion for mental health, and holds a degree in psychology.

Her classes are guaranteed to be light hearted, fun, and have you feeling fully supported in your practice.

 

Neil Douglas

As an enthusiastic sportsman, Neil has a drive for fitness, movement and mindfulness and holds degrees in Strength & Conditioning, as well as Yoga TT and Yin Yoga TT qualifications. Neil has a ‘softly strong’ approach to teaching, guiding students through poses that blend both effort and ease yet still allow for a more challenging variation if wanted.

 

Sabina Cox

Sabina Cox is a seasoned yoga instructor certified by Yoga Therapy Ireland since 2002 and a Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction (MBSR) teacher since 2016. In 2020, she obtained certification in Breath Body Mind. Sabina has a rich history of leading rejuvenating weekend yoga retreats, specialising in restorative practices and breathwork.

Erika Vencloviene

Erika is a dedicated yoga instructor with 650 hours of formal training from esteemed institutions in India and Greece. With a focus on breathwork, mantra, and meditation, Erika creates a nurturing environment for students to explore their practice. Her teachings prioritise well-being and draw from various yoga lineages.

 

Dave Whelan

Dave came to yoga over twenty years ago as he sought to rehabilitate from a sport-related injury. In his classes you can expect dynamic movement-based Vinyasa yoga mixed with more traditional Hatha practices, all combined with clear instruction on postures, movement with breath, and gentle guidance on how to build both mental and physical strength, and confidence.

Trish McFadden

As native of Achill Island, Trish is a lover of movement, outdoors, art, and health. Expect creative dance-like sequences mixed with anatomical explanations and mobility practice, all connected and intertwined with the power of breathwork, yoga philosophy and poetry. She will encourage you to pause, reflect, find inner strength and know yourself more deeply.

 

Nicole O'Malley

A local to Louisburgh but likes to spend time developing her practice & knowledge through travel. She sees the body as a tool for life and self-development, an instrument we each play for all ranges of movement, sport & dance. Inherently linked to our mind and regulation of the self, expect to consciously develop the strength and flexibility of each digit, joint and muscle in her class and soon find yourself adapting an active, helpful posture to go about your day.
