with Zoë Davis,
Yoga Teacher, Ayurvedic Practitioner & Dietitian
SUITABLE FOR ALL LEVELS
WHAT IS IT?
The practise of yoga is comprehensive and ancient, extending far beyond what you see in class today. In this workshop, we’ll provide you with an introduction to other styles of yoga, breathwork, chanting, movement and yoga philosophy. We will explore other tenants of yoga that can get lost in modern practice by comparing our current Western idea of yoga, to its Eastern origins.
If you seek a deeper understanding of yoga and how you can benefit from its teachings in everyday life… you won’t want to miss this workshop!
WHAT WILL WE DO?
We will dive into the Yogic teachings and explore the 8 Limbs of Yoga, set out by Patanjali, which can help guide us on how to practice yoga both on and off the mat.
During the workshop, we will also do various Yoga practices such as pranayama (breathing practices), meditation (both seated and movement), Himalayan Kundalini Kriya (repeated movements with breath), chanting and asana postures.
This workshop will run for 2 hours.
