Yoga Philosophy + Practice

Yoga Philosophy & Practice:

A workshop to understand the yogi path. €25

WHAT IS IT?

The practice of yoga is comprehensive and ancient, extending far beyond what we see today in class. In this workshop we’ll provide an introduction to Yoga Philosophy and explore those other tenants that get lost in modern practice. If you seek a deeper understanding of yoga and where this beautiful practice comes from, you won’t want to miss this workshop!

WHAT WILL WE DO?

We will delve into the famous Yoga Sutras, sacred texts written by the sage and scholar Patanjali, and explore these concepts in the form of meditation, breathwork, kriyas, and discussion. This includes concepts like pratyahara (withdrawal of senses), pranayama (breathwork), and santosha (contentment), and many others. Our goal is that you leave the workshop with a deeper understanding of how to practice yoga, both on and off the mat.

WHAT TO BRING

  • yoga mat

  • water bottle

  • small blanket

  • any additional supports for your practice

We have bolsters and blocks, of which remain unused for 1 week and are sanitized.

WHAT ABOUT COVID19?

We follow all HSE guidelines that are recommended. Yoga is one of the few group activities where we can fully ensure social distance and cleaning measures.

Please review our studio procedures for covid-19 before arriving. If you have any symptoms in the past 15 days or on arrival, or if you’ve come in contact with a confirmed case in the last 15 days, you will be turned away and directed to your GP.
