MyoFascial Release + Yin Yoga

MyoFascial Release + Yin Yoga

A deep tissue workshop on releasing knots with tennis balls. €25

WHAT IS IT?

The ultimate intro to releasing muscle tension. In this workshop, you will gain a full understanding of the fascinating world of the fascia, how it works and why those muscle knots can become a bit problematic. This workshop has been hugely popular and will sell out soon!

WHAT WILL WE DO?

We’ll start by discussing what myofascia is, and learn some breathing and relaxing techniques before the workshop begins. Then we’ll work from the spine down, rolling on the tennis balls to find and release the trigger points (knots) in the muscle. Throughout the class we’ll do a few yin yoga poses, deep and relaxing, to give the muscles a break and elongate the body.

WHAT TO EXPECT DURING & AFTER WORKSHOP

Considering we will be pressing into sensitive tissue (knots), expect a bit of feedback from the muscle and some discomfort. Just like getting a deep back massage, that’s the kind of “feel good pain” you can expect. You decide how deep you go, however, because you’re in control. After the workshop, especially the next day, you may be a bit sore due to the muscles going into repair mode. This is normal and a part of the process.

WHAT TO BRING

  • yoga mat

  • water bottle

  • sock (big enough to fit two tennis balls & tie a knot)

We’ll provide the tennis balls, bolsters, and blocks of which remain unused for 1 week and sanitized.

WHAT ABOUT COVID19?

Please review our studio procedures for covid-19 before arriving. If you have any symptoms in the past 15 days or on arrival, or if you’ve come in contact with a confirmed case in the last 15 days, you will be turned away and directed to your GP.
